"Place that seems too good to be true is too good to be true and throw in some Zombies for flare."
3 Stars.
Pros: The character of Axel, one of the prison inmates is an amusing bit.
Cons: I understand that everyone deals with grief differently but the characters in the series just seem to react very strangely, IE, Carol kissing Lori when she's mourning for Tyreese whom she thinks is dead, it's just odd/Again, group finds place that's too good to be true and as always, it is too good to be true.
Full Review:
The group clears out what they can of the prison and move into their new home but once they come to the cafeteria, they find that four inmates are still there. The guards had released them when everything went to Hell and then when everything crumbled, they locked them in the cafeteria and ran. The group is uncomfortable with the fact that they're sharing dwelling with convicts but the prison seems to be the safest place they've found.
As a way to try and make up for what happened at Hershel's ranch, Rick goes back and explains to Hershel what they've found. Glen, Maggie et al decide to move into the prison. But of course, Hershels two youngest daughters are killed and the group automatically turn on the inmates. It isn't until Andrea is attacked that they find the real murderer. And Rick, who has been deemed "head of the group" decides that if you kill, you die, that's their rule. But Patricia tries to help the murderer only to have him shot by Maggie, who was the sister of the two girls that were killed.
Also, Tyreese's daughter Julie and her boyfriend Chris, have made some sort of pact that once they've slept together, then they'll end their lives. Chris pulls the trigger too fast and kills Julie and Tyreese, in a rage, kills Chris. Afterwards, the group goes to clean up the gym, where a horde of Zombies are lingering and Tyreese goes beserk and is surrounded. Maggie, Glen and the others leave the gym, fearing the worst but Rick demands that they find his body and when they open the gym doors, Tyreese is alive.
He's obviously not dealing well with the death of his daughter, nor is anyone dealing well with all the death around them. Hershels daughters, Julie and Chris, the murderer, it's all overwhelming and some shut down while others over-react and are at each others throats.
It all ends in a stand off, when it turns out that the inmates knew where a stash of guns were kept and hid them away. And once the murderer is dealt with, they decide to turn on the group and kick them out of the prison, at gun point.
